Your FTP's all set up and you want to get your website up. Now what? Well I'm hear to tell you!
First of all, you're going to need something to upload. You need to create all your files on your computer, then save them as a .html, .htm, .php, or whatever else you want to use. But that's a different tutorial. In this one I'm just going to assume you've saved all your files to your computer, and you're ready to get them on your site.
So now, you have SmartFTP open, and you have two windows. The one on your left is where all your website files are, and the one on your right is where all the files on your computer are. First, on your left, browse through the folders until you find where all your website files should be. Your host usually tells you where they're supposed to go. If you're not sure though, ask your host about it. Once you've found that, now go to the right and browse until you found where you saved all your files that you want to upload. Now here comes the easy part:

All you need to do is click your file, and drag it over to the left! It's just that easy =D But that's just to ADD a file. To edit a file, there are two ways to do it. I suggest using the first one, just in case you loose all the files on your website and you need a backup.
The first way, is to edit the file on your computer the overwrite them on your site. Right click on the file you want to edit, then choose 'Edit'. Edit whatever you want, and then save it. Next, drag it over just like if you were adding a file, but you'll get a popup that looks like this:
Choose 'Overwrite'. Now you're done!!
The second way to do it is edit it right on your site. Right click the file you want to edit, except, right click it in the LEFT window. Once your file shows up, go back to the SmartFTP screen, and you'll see this popup, with a drop down menu:
Choose the second option (the one I have higlighed) so that when you save your file in notepad or whatever, it automaically saves on your site, as well. And once you do this more than once on one file, you'll get that overwrite popup like mentioned in the first editing method, and as with that, just click 'Overwrite'
And that's about it! Now you're all ready to upload your files to your site!!
